Cueva de las Maravillas

A magnificent 800m underground cavern, of which 240m are open to the public, the More than 100,000 years old, Cueva de las Maravillas cave is expertly lit to show off the stalactites, stalagmites, tapestries, pisoliths and columns, as well as several hundred pictographs created by the native Taino Indians.

With a concrete path way, as well as ramps and an elevator, this excursion is suitable for everyone.

Most tour operators offer this tour, but if you’d prefer to go in your own vehicle, the rote isvery well signposted and is just off the main road between La Romana and Santo Domingo.
